Bats are mammals of the Chiroptera from the Ancient Greek, whose forelimbs form webbed wings, making them the only mammals that are capable of sustained flight. They fly much more than the other animals like flying squirrels, gliding possums and colugos.

The largest species of bat are a few species of the Pteropus are the giant golden crowned flying fox with a weight of 1.6 kgs. There are various kinds of bats spread all over the world.
